At Caval Forsikring AS, reports from SAP C become monthly commission statements. Built by Alf Viktor Williamsen (founder of Kylace), the application calculates commission and prepares PDF statements from the supplied files. Staff review the results and approve sending. The same application helps staff investigate questions across the company’s data and documents.
From reports to statements
Previously, Caval kept rates manually in a spreadsheet and calculated commissions in a separate spreadsheet for each agent and period.
Today, staff upload the files and check agents, rates and manual adjustments. The application calculates commission and generates PDF statements. Staff can review the previews, select recipients and confirm sending, then follow the sending status.
Caval has used this workflow across multiple monthly periods. Source files, calculations and statements remain connected to each run for later review.

A shared view of sales performance
Reports from Power BI support a separate part of the application: an aggregated view of sales-agent performance. Staff can follow the business alongside the commission workflow.
Questions across the data
An AI agent works through staff questions in several steps. It selects tools, queries business data and uses the results to decide what to do next. For example, it can trace an agreement’s commission history or compare commission totals between months.
The agent can also analyse uploaded spreadsheets and PDFs, run calculations in Python and present the results as tables. Staff can download the tables as Excel or PDF files and ask follow-up questions in the same conversation.
Privacy and customer data
The system meets Caval’s requirements for handling personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The system delivers these outcomes without storing or processing names or other information that directly identifies insurance customers.
